Welcome to our web site. We are Orizaba, pronouced Ori-za-ba, Winery. Orizaba means the family of Oriza; and that is our surname. We planted out first vines in 1998 intending for Syrah to be our predominent grape, which it is. In addition to the Syrah grapes, we grow several other red varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese (aka Brunello). All of the fermenting, aging, and bottling are done on our property.

Orizaba is what one might refer to as a boutique winery. The vines grow on just a little over an acre of land that we personally tend to. Our wine is produced in small lots with a high quality.

Although we are a commercial winery, we sadly are not zoned for a tasting room. We are able to sell our wines over the internet and via the telephone. California is the only state we are able to sell and ship our wines within. Our wines can be purchased at Major Market in Fallbrook.
